Events

We have a lot of events at Child’s Play Montessori School.  We celebrate each child’s birthday with a cake and a party, and we also like to celebrate the main holidays in the year.

St Patrick’s Day

Each year we enter a float in the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Clonakilty, and we have won a prize for the last three years.

Easter

We hold an Easter egg hunt every year in the garden.

Halloween

Halloween is great fun at Child’s Play Montessori School, when the children dress up and we have face-painting, games and a Halloween party.

Christmas

Christmas is a very special time, and we have lots of fun preparing for the Christmas concert, which we perform every year for the parents and relatives.

Summer School Tour

Each year we take a trip on the Clonakilty train and have a tour around the West Cork Railway Model Museum, followed by lunch in the train-carriage cafe.

Graduation / Summer Concert

Every year we hold a summer concert followed by a graduation ceremony for those children going to ‘big school’.  The children leaving each receive a certificate of graduation from Child’s Play Montessori School.
